Welcome to My Website!

The Bible is the most important thing. Traci Schwartz

The written Word is the one thing.

The Scriptures are the only thing.

But in today’s society it’s sadly neglected. The Best-Seller of all written works sits on shelves in almost every home in America, collecting dust. It’s my purpose in life, as long as I have breath, to remind us of what we probably already know. The words on those pages are a love letter to us, from God.

Personal.

Intimate.

Passionate.

The aspects of life we long for so deeply in today’s ‘text me’ society are kept tucked away in an un-opened Bible. But because we want instant gratification, and life with Christ takes time to cultivate, we fail to obtain the promises and heed the warnings that will enrich and guard our hearts. We are a microwave society and the meat of the word must be hunted, brought home, roasted over an open fire and slowly savored.

When a person believes in Jesus and, accepting his need for salvation, and understanding Jesus’ sacrifice as the only way to forgiveness and reconciliation with God, in that moment he or she receives the Holy Spirit. He becomes our Divine Teacher, the resident Instructor, our personal Guide into all things having to do with God. Anyone and everyone, equipped with the Holy Spirit, can understand and apply every word of Scripture.

"THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER" 1 Peter 1:25

Using three tools: observation, interpretation and application, we can all grow up in Christ and be strong, producing Christians.

Observation: It’s just what it sounds like. Reading the text a few times and really listening to what God is saying. Reading it out loud helps because we retain more if we hear the words.

Interpretation:  This requires taking time to meditate on that verse or chapter and asking God, “What do You mean?”

Application: This is the rubber meeting the road. Figuring out what He’s saying and what He means, will leave us empty if we don’t then apply ourselves to it.

That’s right. I said apply ourselves to it, not apply it to ourselves. I’m sorry to be the one to say it, but Christianity isn’t about us! The Word of God, the study and application of it is about changing our worldly views and selfish agenda to conform to God’s way of thinking and doing things.

Walking the walk really isn’t for sissies!

We just can’t remain babies.

There is too much at stake to splash around in the shallow end.

This website is for those who want to grow up in Christ.

It’s for anyone who isn’t afraid to acknowledge that GOD IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS.

It is His passion to make Himself known to us!

In all His glory, power, majesty and sovereignty, He might just be bigger than we bargained for!
